    Unhappy Pentium 4 Northwood Issues

Hey guys, I am going through older computers here at work and having serious issues with Pentium 4 Northwood 2.2 Ghz models.

This is very odd because the 1.8ghz models still run great, they blow the 2.2's out of the water. The 2.2 model is significantly slower than the 1.8. I have reformatted 2 of these 2.2ghz models and they are both still crap. The only difference between these models is a 18x and 22x multiplier.

Are there known issues with P4 2.2? The dividers are same, mem is the same. bus speeds are the same. What the hell is going on? Thanks. - Ed

Clearly *something* is not the same, I'd go over the hardware config with a fine tooth comb, esp. motherboard specs and power saving measures in effect, using a program like SiSoft Sandra
