    Hi, surprised Eric missed this. Perhaps he's nnot all that great. (I never thought he was)
    At the top of your CSS file you have this
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    @charset "utf-8";
    body {
    	height: auto;
    	width: 960px;
    	margin-right: auto;
    	margin-left: auto;
    	margin-top: 40px;
    	background-color: #666666;
    }
    Remove the bold and it works.

    Thanks! I tried your advice but won't be able to test until wed. I'm a PC....(I have class on wed and we use macs there). I'll keep my fingers crossed that it worked!

    Go away GameYin. Reported. And I never even took a look at this site. Why did you assume I did?

    No, I was just like "Ugh I don't want to do this Ap question in Safari."

    I looked at this thead but I didn't look at the website or the code. I would appreciate it if you go back to Sitepoint.

    @OP

    I'm sorry you had to see this Reesey guy. Class A troll. Anyway, just do what he says because that is indeed the problem. You shouldn't have that in your code anyway. Commenting out the styles isn't necessary.

    Cheers

    You can't have HTML comments in CSS anyway. It was basically just invalid code (charset was effed up anyway)

    Which points to validation as the first step in debugging. It seems to be lost with people nowadays..

    You can have comments if you use the <style> tag but since old browsers aren't really used anymore you shouldn't have comments anyway. Same goes with JavaScript. @OP, try reading this and more on Google about charsets so you use a valid one next time

    But it pertains to a certain syntax that all charsets use. If you want a more detailed link (considering you probably didn't read the entire article...) then here are some..

    Happy?
