Background Image Jumping w/CSS

I'm using a background image via CSS in a MovableType layout, and when the page scrolls the background image jumps around to leave unsightly gaps. Any ideas how I can keep it in place?

The code in the CSS is :
background-image : url(pix/map2.jpg);
background-align:top;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
(at first it was just the background-image command, but I added the other two to see if they'd help, they didn't.)

BACKGROUND-REPEAT: repeat

Thanks for the suggestion, it is now running that way and still having the same problem. Any other possibilities?
