Css ??

Ok, at the absolute risk of sounding a total beginner, here is my question:

If I want to make a style sheet, do I open "CSS" or "HTML" in Dreamweaver MX? I am asking because when I do open "CSS" I can edit but like in "HTML" I can't VIEW it in DESIGN and being a beginner, I have no idea if I am doing it right?!

Help urgently needed

Open a new CSS document.

CSS is all code - there isn't anything to view.

If you're viewing an HTML document which links to that CSS document, you'll see the CSS' effect on your page while viewing your HTML document.

Here is a really good site for learning about CSS - its also great to refer to when you have a question, or get stuck:
http://htmlhelp.com/reference/css/

Hope that helps.
