Question Do CSS files have character/size limits?

Seems as though once the size of my css file gets beyond 10Kb, IE5/5.5 on Win98 ignores the style sheet. On a Mac it's fine, and it works on Netscape Nav. Breaking it up into more than one file doesn't seem to help. Has anyone else experienced this? Anybody know of a proven solution? If the size of the file isn't the issue, is there a character restriction that only allows you to have x-many characters in a css file? Thanks.

    Not that I know of

As far as I know, there is no size limit. I've never had a problem w/ filesize, but I don't make very big style files either. You could try adding some of the styles inline using the <style> tags or the style attribute and see if it works that way.
