css in opera en netscape compared to IE

Hello,

I know this is a general problem, css and cross browser compatibility, still I would like to pose this problem since my experience with css is nihil.

The stylesheet implemented for the site i am building works fine in IE, but does not in opera nor netscape. Maybe the problem is in the fact that the content of the pages is in a table cell. However when I put in a selector TD, there is no markup at all.
