Homework - Dynamically positioning DIVs for a photo gallery

Hi,

Please, I need information on how I can dynamically position DIVs for a photo gallery, more like the <td> targ in a html table which apears once but is populated dynamically to accormodate more than one images.

The gallery pulls its image information from a MySQL database (actual images are stored in a local directory).

I will appreciate your help.
