Float left is not working in IE9

I have this website:

http://www.luc.edu/cas/

and down near Psychology thumbnail it no longer floating left. I have tried to apply specific IE CSS hack code to move it:

Code:
width: 168px 0\0/;
height: 106px 0\0/;
overflow: hidden 0\0/;
clear:both 0\0/;

but nothing is working. Can anyone explain why this is not working in IE9, or IE8 or 7? What CSS declaration am I missing?

Any help would be much appreciated.

IE is a pain to troubleshoot css :s

Unfortunately when IE is the only browser that is having trouble displaying the css correctly it can be tougher to find the solution. I've never really had issues with IE floating but I tend to only float when I want to layer elements. Have you tried using display:inline-block; ?

I know that IE 7 doesn't support inline-block. Maybe that would work in the newer versions of the IE though.

NM.

I have tried to apply display:inline-block; to the IE9 specific hack but nothing happened, is there anything I can try to get that DIV to float left even though that CSS declaration is in there.

You can just float them left surely?

Like khayhurst said, I too have never had any problems with floating in IE.

Is your HTML and CSS validated?

Regards,

NM.
