    Help with IE css dropdown menu

    Help!! I am trying to design this website: nitrocanine .com/D/DDesign and the dropdown menus won't work in IE, while they work in Chrome, Safari, Firefox... does anyone know how to make them work in IE as well?? You can view the source and see the css coding and the relevant HTML.

    Because your page has no doctype (an important line of code at the top of the page) all the browsers are in Quirks mode (assuming your page is old and coded wrong). IE's Quirks mode acts like an older version of IE, which doesn't understand the CSS code you're using for your dropdowns. To fix it, you'll have to put IE into standards mode, which you do by adding a doctype:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    When you do that, you'll see the page layout breaks. This is because you're not specifying things correctly. For example:

    Code:
    .position2 {
    position:absolute;
    text-align:center;
    top:175;
    left:30;
    width:800;
    text-align:justify;
    }
    Should be:

    Code:
    .position2 {
    position:absolute;
    text-align:center;
    top:175px;
    left:30px;
    width:800px;
    text-align:justify;
    }
    You should also consider validating your page, which will help find other errors.
