    HTML of CSS for autostretching

    I've been having lots of trouble getting CSS to do autostretching as well as HTML. Is HTML still the #1 choice for autostretching as of now? Are there any tutorials on CSS autostreching? Thanks.

    not exactly sure what you are asking here.. by autostretching, do you mean having widths that expand and contract with changes in the browser width?

    are you talking about this sort of thing?

    Code:
    #container {
    margin : 1% 12% 0 12% ;
    width : 76% ;
    }

    yeah. but I'm trying to mix elements with percentage widths with elements with static widths and when the browser is resized the elements jump down to the following line.

    It's hard to know exactly what your problem is because of the poorly done question. Please read Eric S. Raymond's article, "How To Ask Questions The Smart Way."

    Taking a SWAG at it, it looks like you're having float elements that don't have room within the containing element. In that case, the float element will drop below the block element(s). The same would happen to inline elements . Think of it as "element wrap," similar to word-wrap.

    cheers,
