Is here away to acess a linked css stylesheet used by a site?

Please excuse this simple question - I'm sure there is a simple answer...

Is there a way I can get access to a linked css stylesheet that a given site is using?Obviously, being linked rather than embedded it doesn't show up in the source code.

I want to have a look at the css to see how something is done

thanks
bob

Go to a page that uses the stylesheet you want. Right click on the page and select View Source. Somewhere near the top in the header, you should see a line that looks something like this:

Code:
<link rel="StyleSheet" href="stylesheet_name.css" type="text/css">

the stylesheet.css is the file you want.

How you get to it is to go to the address bar, delete the page name that you're on, and replace it with the stylesheet name. Chances are this will either take you to the page, where you can again View Source to view the code, then save it as a file if you want. The file might also be something like:

http://domain.com/stylesheet.css or
http://domain.com/folder/folder/.../stylesheet.css or
/folder/stylesheet.css etc.

if it gives you the full address, then just copy and paste that in the address bar, if it starts with a folder, then you may have to mess with the url a bit more to get the file, but that's essentially how it's done.
