My first venture into CSSes and MySQL
well, I have a habit of making every one of my websites also an experiment with something new. Last time it was PHP, now it was CSSes and MySQL. They both were easy to learn, but I've already had to rewrite much of all of it to make my code cleaner and more proper. I've still got lots of that to do though, and I suppose I should do it before really promoting my website. So any feedback would be great:

I find the text a bit difficult to read -> green isn't a very good background color IMHO.
Didn't surf the rest of your site, I was too disturbed by the effects of the menu ![]() Sorry

That menu effect needs to go, simple.
as Jabba_29 said, black text on dark green is not a good combination. |

The black on green isn't that bad (i can read it vary clearly) but a change of font may be a nice thing to do ![]() |

css? you are still using table to do the layout.
try to run the site through http://validator.w3.org/ first of all you got scripts outside the html-tags. put them in the head, the same with link rel=stylesheet, and dont use span for every thing use the appropriate tag that is already in html ie. instead of <span class =" bold"> 0</span> use <strong> 0</strong> and use hn-tags for headings, and don't use table to make lists table class =" list" there is several lists one can chose form in html yeah, i agree with the others that menu effect has to go ![]() |

the menu spins me out, i freaked out when first viewed it, but found my self playing with it. It ain't all bad IMO
Black on green is not my preferred choice, the green is a very dark tone, maybe lighten it and it would be a bit more readable. Get away from the serif fonts, try a Veranda or Arial I find them better to read on screen, use a print CSS to give the printed page a serif font. Just some thoughts... All in all a nice design, suits the target audience. |

I like your color scheme. The menu effect makes me *angry* though, and I can't read the darn black on green text!! you should make it off-white but not pure #fffff which would be too strong I think. Uhm just make it easy to read, your readers will thank you for it.
