relative vs absolute positioning
Hello all
I am delving into a project for a friend of mine using CSS and shying away from tables. I don’t have anything posted online yet- just messing around at home. I was wondering if someone can explain to me and provide and online example of both relative and absolute positioning – and when to use each. Thanks! |

There is no real way to define which is better or worse becuase the two compliment eachother, and can be used interchangeably and together as a function of your layout requirements.

Well, explaining how they work is best left to w3c ( http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/visur...itioning-scheme ) that is a link to the currentt CSS2 standards for handling and proper usage of relative and absolute positioning. If you have questions about that document please do reply
