using 2 background pics in css
I would like to make a menu title bar, but one that will expand depending on the amount of text that is in the menu. so to do this I would like to have a picture at each end of the title that match the background. Is this possible. I tried setting 2 background-images, but that didn't work.
Thanks for the help

You could put all of the items into different <SPAN> tags or tables, though I don't prefer using tables for non-tabular data.

I thought about the table one as well, and even in creating a function for it, but there is just something about that approach that doesn't seem right. I thought that there might be a way through css styles

I haven't heard of any CSS method for doing multiple images as a background, sorry.

While you can't put 2 background images into an element, you can fake it. This article at A List Apart describes a method.
