    <caption align="bottom"> CSS equivalent?

    I use the caption element on most tables, and often want it to be at the bottom of the table. Using <caption align="bottom">, will cause the validator to hic-cough with;

    Warning: <caption> attribute "align" has invalid value "bottom"

    Posted error explanations were no help.

    I know this attribute is deprecated in html4.0 in favor of style sheet positioning. I would like to code strict xhtml, but I haven't found the proper declaration yet.
