    CSS background Issue

    Even though I have used the background-color property, the background doesn't change to the color I specified. (CSS class "tutorial2" should have a gray background (#EDEDEC), but it doesn't display.)

    (I trying to create altnernating background for easier reading.)

    Code:
    .tutorialpreview {
        padding-right: 4px;
        padding-left: 4px;
        float: left;
        padding-bottom: 2px;
        padding-top: 2px;
        border: 0px;
        height: 50px;
        width: 50px;
    }

    .tutorial {
        height: 54px;
        margin-bottom: 4px;
    }

    .tutorial2 {
        background-color: #EDEDEC;
        height: 54px;
        margin-bottom: 4px;
    }

    .tutdesc {
        height: 52px;
        padding-top: 3px;
        background-color: transparent;
    }
    XHTML Code:

    Code:
    	 	<div class="tutorals">
    		<a href="http://www.depiction.net/?id=psimagemapdrawingtools">
    		 <img src="images/imapdrawingtoolspreview.gif" class="tutorialpreview" alt="" /></a>
    		<div class="tutdesc"><a href="http://www.depiction.net/?id=psimagemapdrawingtools">
    		<strong>Image Maps with Drawing Tools</strong></a><br />
                Use Image Ready to automatically create image maps using many drawing tools to select complex shapes.<br /></div>
            </div>
    		<div class="tutorials2">
    		<a href="http://www.depiction.net/?id=psinterface">
            <img src="images/psinterfacepreview.gif" class="tutorialpreview" alt="" /></a>
    		<div class="tutdesc"><a href="http://www.depiction.net/?id=psinterface">
    		<strong>Photoshop Interface</strong></a><br />
                 An overview of the toolbox, palettes, the option bar, and tool presets in Photoshop's Interface.<br /></div>
    		</div>
    Any thoughts?

    probably the fact that your class names do not match.

    .tutorial2
    <div class="tutorials2">
