Background image for the main document (css)

OK not only am I having problems giving a background image to individual cells. I have a problem where I cannot give the whole document the same background.

I mean the background appears but one table (tab2) and one cell (td1) do not show the image that should span their areas too.

Ive included the css, I think I may be some suspisious code. If you could please have a look for me. Thanks (see attached)

CSS is not my strongpoint, however, in the experience I've had with showing images "under" a table, I had to use
    background-color:transparent

I believe having a defined background-color in a cell will override the background image.

Hard to say without seeing the HTML in which it is used.

    hi dave hi external

noop if the image and a color are defined in a tag be it tr td or table the image wins

if its possible external can we see the full code for this and your other post, perhaps you have it uploaded somewhere for us to take a sneaky peaky (?)

I changed it to transparent and it worked. Except for one but I was able to change that to black anyways.

hey external wot browser are u using (?) just curious
noop if the image and a color are defined in a tag be it tr td or table the image wins
the exception to this is where you have the background image defined in the table, but then have a color defined in a cell ... i should have cleared that up, i was guessing that you were only working with one tag (?)

    IE 6

Its strange because I changed the main tables to transparent (and the image came thru) but the cell td1, I tried to change but no luck. The background in that particular area is black any hows so I just set the cell to that color.

Also (now I have your attention) is there a way to position the background so it butts up the bottom of the page? Instead of being aligned with the top.

    Example:
    background: url(bullseye.jpg) no-repeat top right;

The choices are top | middle | bottom or

    right | center | left

    cheers,
