1) Need to decide on Unix DB, 2) import data from MS Access 2000?

Hi,

1. I need to decide on a free DB to use under Unix/Apache using PHP to get to. The only criteria is that it supports some sort of GUI program to browse/query the DB.

2. Once I decide on a DB, I need to import my current database from Access 2000.

Let the recommendations begin

Hi
1. PostgreSQL, best free one I've ever seen (and used)!
Now GUI's. AFAIK almost no database for UNIX has a GUI, but you can use psql (under console) or phpMyAdmin (to use with apache and php as you said).

2. It's not my best theme so no advice here.
