1) Need to decide on Unix DB, 2) import data from MS Access 2000?
Hi,
1. I need to decide on a free DB to use under Unix/Apache using PHP to get to. The only criteria is that it supports some sort of GUI program to browse/query the DB. 2. Once I decide on a DB, I need to import my current database from Access 2000. Let the recommendations begin ![]() |

Hi
1. PostgreSQL, best free one I've ever seen (and used)! Now GUI's. AFAIK almost no database for UNIX has a GUI, but you can use psql (under console) or phpMyAdmin (to use with apache and php as you said). 2. It's not my best theme so no advice here. |
