Question Access 2000 email

I am using an Access 2000 database as a call log. When the call reps take a call, one of the requirements is that they email the caller a confirmation of the info requested. Is there any way to programmatically send an email with a formatted body of the email. That is to say, I would like to insert variables depending on the details of the call record. I know that one can easily send an email with an attachment but I would like to have a formatted body. Kind of like how a Word merge works. Or is there a way to open up a form template in Outlook from Access?
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
