Access 2000 modules

Hi,

The person who worked on my database has left and I can't get in contact with him. I urgently need to know how I can open up Modules in Access.

Normally I would simply double click on it, and than enter a password to access the modules code. After the last time my db promgrammer touched it, now when I click on it, I cannot open it. What can I do? Is there something in the setting I am missing? How would I get into the Module Code.

I can't get it in design view. What can I do?

I have included an image to help. I see 2 different colors to the modules, one is grayed, and one is darker. What is the difference? Thanks in advance.

Ferhan

Hold the shift key down while starting the program. That should get you past the first level of security. Now with that said. it depends on what he did to lock it down. there are several things you can do. Try this first and let me know
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I did the shift thing already, and this is what leads me to the modules section. THis is a MDE file. So from what I read, I cannot get into it. I have an old version which I have opened up, which was a MDB file, now the version is a MDE file.

From what I have read, this is not good news

Thanks for the help.
Ferhan

that's correct and making an MDE is one of the ways to strip out the VBA code and lock it down.

so you can track him down and request the code or build on the older version you have. How much was done after the version you have?
