    Download an Entire Database's Contents?

Hi! This is my first post evers on devshed. I think it'll be fun.

    Anyway this is my question:
Is it possible to somehow download an entire online database's contents so that I can sort them any way I like? Let me elaborate, I am a firearms dealer and buy guns wholesale. I can search my wholesaler's website for whatever gun I'm looking for. What I'd like to do is download their entire inventory and organize the entries however I want. They allow me to search and organize by price, but I would want to sort by something like retail markup percentage.

I know nothing about databases and next to nothing about web interfaces.

Is this a fairly accessible sort of task? Or would it require having the wholesaler's ftp credentials?

It's not really possible. They'd have to specifically give you the data.

And for the record, FTP wouldn't help. It's just not the right tool.

SUCCESS! The company actually offers a download from their ftp site and gives login creds and everything. The database is in a csv file. That's great!
