help designing a database driven page
I am NEW TO THIS. Thats my name and my condition.
I want to build a database driven site, i.e. I want to build a website, I have already built all the pages, EXCEPT I want to build a page that searches and return results from my database(Access). The thing is, I cant get it to work.
This is what I want to do:
-serach database using occupation, age, gender & location.
-return results if record found, and have a link to a more "detailed" page for each record found.
-return a "no record found" page
The thing is I have tried, but I cant get the results page to show any data or return results. I just get gibberish.
Also I want to have secure page where I can add/delte records
I want to do this using ASP (Java or VB).
Any suggestions on how to code this?
I would really appreciate the help as I cant shell out $2000+ for "professional services"
