I am NEW TO THIS. Thats my name and my condition.
I want to build a database driven site, i.e. I want to build a website, I have already built all the pages, EXCEPT I want to build a page that searches and return results from my database(Access). The thing is, I cant get it to work. This is what I want to do: -serach database using occupation, age, gender & location. -return results if record found, and have a link to a more "detailed" page for each record found. -return a "no record found" page The thing is I have tried, but I cant get the results page to show any data or return results. I just get gibberish. Also I want to have secure page where I can add/delte records I want to do this using ASP (Java or VB). Any suggestions on how to code this? I would really appreciate the help as I cant shell out $2000+ for "professional services" |

Hi,
You say you can't get it to work. Do you have some code? If so, let us see it, especially the specific piece that is not working. If you haven't got any server side code yet or don't know where to start then check out... here, here and here to get you started. Returning and formatting search results is a fairly easy process so let us know where you are up to and we can point you in the right direction. Regards, Ed.
