Help inserting a row column into database

So my friend set up a databse, she can no longer help. I just want add something to the database but dont know how.

Basically ill explain how it works.. People login into my site.. the can then upload Guides and things.. When you upload a guide you select what type of guide it is.

Well i want add a new guide type.

So i go to my Database

    Select guides
    Select Type
    Browse distinct values

    Then this list appears

    Rows type
    3 dailies
    3 gg#h
    2 ggiq
    4 ggrz
    3 guides
    11 helpfulguides
    1 newbie
    1 none

So I want to add another "type" called List

    Can anyone help me please?
