HSQLDB...password retrieving and storing
I'm currently developing a website using JSP and i'm using HSQLDB as the database manager for my database. I'm wondering whether HSQLDB has something like md5 (in php) which is able to encode the password which is entered by the user, which is for security purpose. Hopefully there will be someone who can help me. Thanks a lot!

No HSQLDB does not offer this, but I'm sure if you search the web you'll find a Java implementation of the MD5 algorithm which you can easily use in your JSP page
