learning SQL server
I'm completely new to SQL server. I've never used it before, but I want to begin learning how to develop with it. I have experience using Access databases with ASP, but that is it.
I've heard differing opinions about buyiung a SQL server training video to gain some basic knowledge and maybe even some intermediate and advance knowledge as a starting point. Does anyone have a recommendation regarding video training tapes with SQL server. What is a good tape or series of tapes that would be good for a novice. Has anyone used video training tapes and found them useful? What would be the best tape or tapes that focuses on uses in web development? Where would be the best place to get them for the best price if I choose to invest in these training tapes? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Dman100- |

Get some books like SQL For Dummies or Learn SQL In 21 Days. They won't teach you the finer details of query optimization, but they'll do a good job teaching you the framework of what you need to know.
