Hi there !!
I am uisng microsoft product for the past 8 years. I need the help in SQL Server 2000 this time. My MSSQL 2000, was working very fine on my notebook and Compaq deskpro EN. Recently, a destructive virus hit my system(deskpro) and corrupt everything from my OS to all installed product. Then, I formated my hard disk to get rid of him and reinstalled all the products which i have had. On SQL 2000, everything going well on installtion. I not even seen an single error but when i trying to start SQL Server Service Manager, i got this nasty error... An error 1069, (The service didn't start due to logon failure.) occured while performing this service operation on MSSQL Service. I try my best to get rid of this problem and even find one article in Microsoft knowledge base i.e. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=282254. No doubt, the article was good but it not sort out mine problem. I am still getting the same one. It arises may be because of some else reason... If i missed any inoformation which you need /seek/want then let me know at your earliest convienence. Would anyone like to eloborate or put some more light why it happend ? Please help me to get rid of it as soon as possible. Any support is widely accepted ! Last edited by sqlkid : August 12th, 2003 at 11:48 AM. |

I suggest that during your installation you inadvertently allowed the database to install for a single user. Try to use it logged on as the actual user that was logged on when the db was installed. If that works your best choice may be to uninstall it, then reinstall it and be sure that you check the system level account at the appropriate time.

You can try looking in the event log and see if there is some other help. On Win2K you look in "Administrative Tools" in the "Control Panel".
Sorry I can't be of more help. |
