It almost sounds like you're trying to update a view which is not updateable?

What is your SQL and table structure for the query?

well, when i use windows98, access 2000, php4.0.6 to do the testing, everything works fine.

but when i use windows xpprofessional, access xp, php4.1.2, then i got this error and record cannot save to the table.

i tried to recreate the database in accessxp, but i still got this error.
