passwords in Access 2000

I set a password on an Access 2000 db with the group Admins and user Admin. To my knowledge, this should have given me all rights and permisssions, however, when I tried to log in, I received an error message that I didn't have the permissions to open the db in exclusive. I can't make any changes now. Is there a way to work around this?

Hi,

Did you back up before adding the passwords?

Try searching on the web for a password recovery utility. I know they are available for retrieving lost passwords but there may be one which will remove the protection as well which may help you?

Regards, Ed.
