problem with access 2000
Hi
When I try to open the design view for the tables in Access Data Project it does'nt open or opens in a weird way. I try from other computer and it says you do not have exclusive access to the database at this time and does'nt save the changes. But the datasheet view works fine and saves the changes. But I cant make any design changes. The operating system is windows 98 and its access 2000. I am using adp file and connecting to the MS SQL database on the server. But I am able to open the design view at my home computer where I have XP professional and Access 2002. Can anyone tell me wht exactly is the problem. I tried searching a lot but could'nt find any fix. Thanks, Rafi |

Look at the connection you've set up between the adp and the sql server. Maybe you used different user credentials between your two computers.
I haven't used adp's on Windows 98 in years, perhaps there are some OS requirements to run the client-server table designer that need a NT/2K/XP environment. Just guessing here. |
