Set up a localhost SQL Server.. Possible?

Hi,
I was using MySQL in my localhost, as you know, to set up MySQL in local computer is pretty easy.

I have to change one of my databases into SQL Server. I have failed this:
ODBC Admin > System DSN > Add > SQL Server
there are 3 fields
1. New Datasource name: SomeName
2. Description
3. Server Name (empty dropdown list)

I have this error (translated from Japanese):
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]SQL Server not found or you don't have access privileges.

I am using win xp pro with IIS 5. Log in as admin all the time.

Any help ??

I have installed SQL 2000 and problem is solved..

But now my problem is, I cannot create a connection in ASP. It says I dont have rights to create a connection. I log in as administrator and have no password.

Can someone write some sample connection string for MSSQL ? (for admin)
