Spatial and temporal DB system references
I would be very grateful if somebody could send me links to introductory references related to spatial and temporal (mainly the second) database systems. Any articles, or papers or case studies would be very helpful.

There are some interesting discussions and links to Temporal database literature on www.thethirdmanifesto.com and www.dbdebunk.com, and you could also spend some time in the comp.databases.theory newsgroups (try http://groups.google.com if you don't have newsgroup access)
PostgreSQL is a DBMS with spatial extensions and datatypes, and there are probably some good discussions in it's mailing list at http://archives.postgresql.org/. Also see http://postgis.refractions.net/
