From reading a lot of responses it seems that a few people think the biggest thing that Postgres has had over MySQL is its transactions/ACID compliance. While that's all well and good, once I switched from MySQL I found that views, rules, and stored procedures were things that made my projects a lot more maintainable.
I never said MySQL doesn't have its place, I just said for the most part its place is not with me and that Postgres is here to stay as well. -b
