Too much info for start new Access 2K DB
I am currently struggling with a task of combining data from an Access 97 table, a few tables from an Access 2K database and a dump of data in Excel into a new Access 2K database. This database will then contain location info, phone line and equipment for each location. I must first find a way to match all data (each record being a location) and I am thinking about querying the databases and sorting the spreadsheet and assigning an ID to each record that matches in each query/spreadsheet. Definately some serious manual labor I have the framework of the new Access2k database, so I am trying to figure out how to import it. Is that putting the horse before the carriage?
I have some experience with Access, as I have designed a few db's previously, but never with a large amount of data from different places that needs to go into it right away...
Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks.
