    Exclamation Username, database and password file...easy to open..in mysql postgresql??


    I am looking for a file in postgresql and mysql that will show username, password, and database/server info. Does anyone know where that might be located?

    MySQL doesn't store that information in a configuration file, it uses a database called 'mysql' to store account and database information.

    The same goes for PostgreSQL. There is no "file" with that information. User information is stored in system tables (pg_shadow to be precise). But even there the password is not visble.

    I suggest you read the manual regarding the available Postgres catalog tables for further information:
