That I'm not really sure as far as access vs. mysql goes, my guess is that the MIS masters don't always know how to use a TSQL front, they use the wizards and all that jazz that comes with access. You can even generate webpages from it and all sorts of things. They pay for that....
Then they pay for you to come in and attempt to fix it or add this in when it's not an option and give you hell because updating autogenerated scripts is about as refreshing as getting kicked in the balls. |
