Column name case

I'm working with DB2 and the ibm_db2 php interface.

I'm afraid I alreay know the answer to this, but is there any way to configure DB2 to return lower case table names? As far as I've seen so far, the only way to get lower case or mixed case column names is to expressly alias the columns with quoted aliases.

Is there any other way I'm missing? Thanks.

Tom
