DB2 V5.2 on winxp with sp2

Hello all

Well i know db2 UDB 5.2 is old but i bought it with my own cash and can't really afford to upgrade

Anyway my problem is i assume with sp2, when i installed that i can't run db2, only thing that works is the cmd line tool, the control center that i use a lot can't be initialized, i get a pop up with a code 0xc00000005, tried to search over on ibm software but had no luck, currently it is a fresh install from the cd, but seems i get the same problem with FP17 installed, anyone know if it is even possible to get this version to run with sp2? guess i can always back out of sp2 but it does have some good upgrades.

V 5 is almost 10 years old - most folks are on V7.2 or 8.X.
Probably an issue best taken up with IBM tech support. Probably an incompatibility with a relatively recent OS and RDBMS software meant to run on Win 3.x....or win 95 at best.

Arrow win 95/98 compatibility mode

Old apps like that can in some circumstances be run in win 95 compatibility mode.(Tweak the app for 95 or 98 mode. Warning it may set your screen to 640 or some garbled size.) However this is not always the case and you may loose out.
