Newby: DB2 Capabilities?
I realize this is a very introductory question, however, I have only the slightest idea of what DB2 even is. What is DB2 capable of doing?
Is it a comparable to a development tool such as Oracle Database 10g or are they two entirely different things? Thanks.

It's comparable to Oracle 10g, but those are databases and not development tools.
