??? db2 connect fails only if id/passwd are supplied ???
I'm experiencing strange behavior on a newly installed db2 v9.1 on a Linux x-86 32-bit platform.
I login as db2inst1,
db2 connect to WMBBKRDB
successfully. But connect fails if I provide the user name and passwd in the following command:
db2 connect to WMBBKRDB user db2inst1 using "passwd"
SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "15" ("PROCESSING FAILURE").
I tried may combinations of passwd with or without quotes, single or double, all gave the same result.
I couldn't understand, how could it be that I can connect to DB without a specifying userid and password, but fail when I supply them explicitly, and the user is the instance owner?
I uninstalled and reinstalled DB2 9.1, plus fixpack 6a, but everything still the same. I also applied the license after installation.
Has anyone ever expierenced such strange behavior? what could I have missed?
