    help.. component problem

how do you resolved this kind of error.

    im using delphi 6

Field frmMainMenu.crptReport does not have a corresponding component. Remove the declaration?

the program is using crystal report 6.5 and i had it installed on my pc.

    any ideas on this.

This happens when your form file (DFM) is out of sync with its associated pas file.

it is either the form has a component that does not have a definition in the pas file or the other way round. if you open
the form file and do a search for your component
(crptReport) if its there then search for this component in the
forms pas file it should be in both.

e.g. you should see something like in your pas file :

    type
    frmMainMenu = class(TForm)
crptReport : TWhatever the type is

and something like this in the DFM file :

    object crptReport : TWhatever
    stuff in here.......
    end

you can try adding whichever bit is missing. in the form file
just add the object line and the end and leave it at that. and it should work.

In that case, maybe you dont have some of the components
installed on your P.C. that your friend has and Delphi is trying to remove them as it cannot find them.

If you do have the components installed the same as your friend, check the library paths under the environment settings in Delphi it may just be that it cannot find the pas files or DCU files to build your project. It always helps to select Build Project as well as this sometimes shows where it cannot find something it requires.
