Image Component "Loses" Transparent Property

Some of my Image components lose their transparent property when my application is run on a different computer. I have, for example, a circular graphic drawn on a rectangular image component. The transparent property allows the graphic to display on top of other objects. It works great on most computers, but on some computers the image component loses its transparent property and obscures the objects beneath. Any ideas?

Different OS perhaps? Window transparency is a style attribute that doesn't occur on all OSs
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...wattributes.asp
As you can see, the min. OS required is W2K.

Thanks for the reply. The "problem" computers are both XP platforms. One is a Sony Vaio and the other is a HP Desktop. Might these machines have the transparency option turned off? If so, is there a way to turn it on within my application?
