New to delphi... please help.

Hey, my name is anelia and i am learning delphi this year at school. I have to investigate which has been the best version of Borland Delphi and why. If you can help me, i'd be very thankful.

To learn the Delphi basics the versions 6 and 7 will provide you with everything you need. Delphi 8 is developed for the Microsoft .NET framework.

You could consider that Delphi V1 was the best because at the time it was a ground breaking acheivement. I'm not quite sure if C++ was out at the same time but Delphi was the first to bring object oriented RAD development to the table. The only language around at the time of Delphi that was RAD was VB which was slower than your average labour politician....
