|
no .exe file after i save project?
Hello, following the tutorial for delphi six on about.com, ( i am using delphi version 7 though) i go to file--> save all.
after i save, i do not get a .exe file for my project, how come? on the tutorial, it says i should get the .exe file after saving. thx

EXE files are generated only if you compile (or run) the project. If the tutorial suggests that you will get an EXE by saving all, I would strongly suggest finding a new tutorial.

lol..
umm the thing is, the tutorial did say to compile it. basically this is what i did 1) create a new application project 2) add a very simple code (1 line) 3) press f9 to compile and run it 4) use save all however, i still do not see a .exe file?

ok stupid me...
when i complied and runed it, a .exe was created, but it was created in the default folder. when i saved, i saved it to a custom folder...thus there is no .exe in the custom folder....
