"Project->Add to project"

What all exactly should I add uisng "Project->Add to project" in C++ builder 5 ?

Sometimes adding a *.lib, or a *.dll through that route seems to solve some unresolved I get. Dont know what exactly should that be used for so that I can add everything in advance rather than after getting an unresolved.

How to decide which form*.cpp should be added that route ?
