serial port communications

My first delphi post. I have learnt PHP scripting mainly with the help from these forums. I now wish to expand my knowledge of delphi by coding an application. Are there any good components out there which can help me with capturing an output from a serial device, which I can then put the contents into a SQL table.?

Torry has some components for that if you don't want to code them yourself (it's very low level winapi stuff, not good for starting).

Hi,

You should look at TurboPower's AsyncPro Library, I think
its one of the best Delphi serial port libraries out there, and
last year TurboPower made it open-source.

You can find it on sourceforge.
