ok i hope i am posting this in the right location if not sorry i am looking to colocate a server to run a counter strike server.
i am really new to most of this but i get the general jist of most. how many players will a 100mbit line handle and how much bandwith does a gameserver use a month?? how much cpu power will be needed to use the 100mbit line or is the 100mbit line just overkill????? I am looking at a server right now cheap it is a Core2duo E6300 and im bust the ram to 4 gigs maybe 8 but i dont want to vamp the server up if the cpu cant handle the load of say 100 people but again i dont know and cant find how labor intensive a server is a comps cpu any info would be great i am just learning right now Thank All |
