Here's what happens when you slay the dragon
You have to choose a new Race and Specialty (or stay the same if you want) and you start back at level 1 with 0 Experience.

You get to keep:
  • Any Permanent Hitpoints gained (NOT from levelling!)
  • Gems
  • Custom Weapon + Kills
  • Any Ingredients found
  • Tattoos
  • Steed
  • Character Name
(maybe you keep other stuff and I just didn't have it to keep)

You don't get to keep:
  • Gold
  • Armour

There are a couple more benefits too.

Also it seems to have "unlocked" more of the game - it seems deeper than I first thought

I was going to post this once I did it . Also I'm pretty sure you get to keep your pet. It's nice to know you keep your weapon that's got to be the only way you can get it so high. Gold I don't care I can get back up to 100k quickly enough. And ya Rich mentioned somewhere that there will be certain rewards for dragon kills (dk's) so the more dk's you have the more stuff you can get. That's nice about the Ingredients, that'll be useful.

How do you get better armor? I have the top 15 defense armor, any way of getting better stuff?

NOTE: Permanent Hitpoints are NOT hitpoints gained by leveling up as I thought just in case anyone thinks the same.

Oh and I just killed the dragon yah

And you get to keep your Alignment also

I don't know. I noticed a new Trade shop somewhere but they had no items. In the Hall of Fame you can see which players have made trades.

How did you find the dragon? I've been level 15 for more than a game week, maybe two, and neither hide nor scale of it.

Done. Still no dragon. Maybe it has to be first fight of the day? I started in another town and had 3(!) fights going from that town to Ese.

No, just stay in your hometown and you will get an option of seeking out the GD. I was getting frustrated till I went back to Romar and found the GD. You can even seek out for the dragon after exhausting all your forest fights. (Hint: It would be a good idea to retain all your magical attack points; they come handy)

ya they do, I died once to it, then the second time I killed it in three hits

And it is in your own home town, make sure you're going to the right one.

OK, lets see if this helps:

1) Go to your home town. If you arent sure what your home town is, it is displayed in the Green stats box to the right.
2) Go to the forest
3) Instead of "look for something to kill", there should be an option called "Seek Green Dragon" or something like that.
4) Have at.
