Only 2 more than I normally would. The reason I've been able to lose so many is I've been replacing some of what was lost. Now I'm curious to see if I can fall below the default level.

No. Once you get low enough they start taking normal hit points instead of max hit points. And they take a lot more of them- I lost 46 the first time, 22 the second.

What really sucks is if you don't have enough to cover it you die (it doesn't tell you how many, just that you died). It also doesn't scale with your level. This means at level 1 when you start with only about 10 hp (I had 12) but you get a whole lot of fights because almost every one is flawless, you also get a lot of "something happened" events, and the probability of getting assaulted by 12 year olds begins to approach 1.

In other words, you're pretty much screwed- you have to spend gems on max hp just so you won't get killed, but the 12 year olds will take them right back. There's got to be something I'm doing wrong to get dinged so often. How you seen how many times I've been hit? It's cost me over 200 gems, and now several forest fights as well.

@f'lar - I'm not finding any kids with baseball bats.
Ididn't want to say anything in case I jinxed myself.
Of course, now I'm going to get whacked by them imminently.

Also - In this dragon kill, I'm level 13 now, I started with a 4.1 and 180 gems and I'm still on a 4.1 with only 230 gems.
I haven't been able to upgrade - I'm just not finding enough gems and I'm a Viking, kills are fine though.

This has been frustrating me to death too...
I lost over 80 max HP's in one session a few days ago!
I reckon I've easily lost 150+ in total to those damn kids!

Don't want to come off like a whiner but it is real frustrating when you use a DK to increase Max HP's and then lose double the amount within 10 minutes
I had to give up weapon upgrades and use gems to try to keep up with the HP's instead (still will never have enough to beat that damned parasite who keeps attacking me when I'm asleep in the Ugly Wench)

Gems are soooo hard to come by <sob>

Yes those killers in the ugly wench can be annoying

BTW if you choose barbarian you get 15 max hit points per dk, I've done barbarian quite a number of times, and it really does help with the hit points being lost. And you don't have to spend as many gems.

Yes, I only tried barbarian since yesterday and I noticed the gain in hitpoints per level - it certainly helps ...although I already lost more than 15 more maxHP to those damn kids in my first session since the last DK

Same next session... 22 turns (plus extras = probably 32+) all used in the forest, gathered 18 gems (as a viking) and lost another 15 maxHP... at this rate I'll be back to zero in no time

ya, I guess I've been doing barbarian since the first dk etc.. and it really has helped give those extra hit points without to many gems lost
