The 60 second wait for posting twice may or may not be too long, however, what is wrong with it is that when a post is rejected, the post is lost when you hit the back button. Please fix this!

Works ok for me too. But i did have the same problem with IE6. It is documented. It is a new feature. And you can switch it off somewhere.
Sorry, i canīt remember exactly how, but i guess it was the "persistence of user data" switch in your security settings. (this was translated by me, so the original name is probably different...) give it a try.... M.

Sorry for not posting detials earlier: I'm running Windows XP with IE 6.0. I thought it was a bug in just this forum, as other forums do not do this to me.

I have same issue. IE6 with win2000 here and when I press back its all deleted. I have gotten into the habit of copying my text before pressing the 'Post' button.

Heh, I've gotten so used to that problem on various message boards that I've been long gotten in the habit of composing my long posts in a text editor.

That's why I asked which browser. When I'm at work I'm stuck on IE6 on WinNT 4.0. I always type the posts up in Notepad then copy them over. But when I'm at home I'm on Moz 1.1 on Linux, I just type responses up right in the browser.

I use XP and IE6 and going back and forward again retains my post text, and i do get the error if i try to post twice in 1 min- but i rarely have problems where i have to resubmit. thats microsoft for you.

I do that too after spending quite awhile on forums recently. Specifically, if I have a long reply, I'll open up notepad and copy it there before submitting. Being on a flaky dialup connection, sometimes the connection drops just as I hit the submit button. On a side note, I know of a forum that has an interesting modification where posts are automatically copied to the clipboard (IE) when submitted, so if something happens, you can get your posts back. It's a neat option.

I'm pretty sure it's not an explorer thing, I've had this happen in other browsers too (since I don't usually use Explorer anyway). Then again, Mozilla has a ton of issues with textareas anyway, so I wouldn't be surprised if each browser has different bugs. I've seen this happen before where the data is cookied to allow persistence, but sometimes it mucks up. Too tired/don't care enough though to check what vBulletin does.
