am I the only one getting duplicate email notifications?

is this a problem caused by

a) my stupidity because I can't seem to find out where to turn off one of them

b) the "server issues"

???

I'm new to forums in general, having been blessed with a brilliant son who does most of my question-answering ... but now I find I'm actually getting to the point where I can venture out into this bigger world and talk to other people who do what I do ... it's very cool

However being the anal idiot that I am, it is driving me crazy to get two email notifications every time a post is made to a subscribed thread.

At first I thought if I turned off email notifications in the profile, this would stop one of them, but reading those instructions closely I don't think so.

I want to get one message per post ... if this is a overall error at the moment, great, but if it's something I'm missing ...

help

You get several mails if several people posted replies. unlike the mail states ("You won´t receive further notifications until you visited the board again"). This is just one of the many bugs of vBulletin...
See here for another thread where we described several of them:

Actually I'm getting duplicate emails for every single post ... and I'm certain about this because there is one particular problem I've been helping with and every time the other guy posts his reply I immediately get two emails.

But since this isn't my stupidity, I'll relax and let it be. Its only a bother if I think I'm missing some little thing

thanks for your response.

Hmmmmmm possibly their was a problem with the server at the exact same time you signed up to the forum and it managed to create a duplicate account. If turning off from profile stops one set of e-mails a duplicate account sounds likely.

Just a thought for you to look into Randy.
